About Blackforestmeadery
A Waco Crew That Chases Water Off Your Property
Blackforestmeadery handles land excavation for homeowners across Waco, Texas and the surrounding McLennan County towns, and we build the work around one goal: getting water away from your foundation. Grading and slope correction, French drains, swales, erosion control, and footing excavation are the jobs we do most, because on Central Texas clay a wet yard is where slab trouble starts.
Waco soil moves. The expansive clay under most of the city swells after a storm and shrinks in a dry spell, so a downspout dumping at the corner or a low spot that holds a puddle can feed moisture straight into the slab. We read the grade, find where the runoff comes from, and reshape the ground so the first ten feet around the house fall away instead of pooling.
How We Work
- We look before we dig. A free site visit tells us where the water goes, and you get a written scope and price before any excavator shows up.
- We dig to code. We file the free 811 locate first, then slope, bench, or shield any trench 5 feet or deeper per OSHA Subpart P.
- We build for the next storm. Grades and outfalls are sized for a real Central Texas rain, and drains are set in washed gravel and geotextile fabric so they keep flowing.
- We are local and insured. A licensed, insured crew does the whole job, and a real person answers when you call.
